We are pleased to announce that the Kelso/Longview Chamber of Commerce is once again partnering with Marketing Solutions NW out of Battle Ground to publish the official 2018 edition of the Kelso/Longview Street Map. Out last map project received great reviews locally and throughout the County. Maps of Kelso/Longview are one of the most requested items at the Visitor Center and Chamber office. They benefit our membership, our residents and visitors to our community.

The Koth Memorial Gallery at Longview Public Library will be displaying paintings by local artist Leon Lowman from August 10th through September 1st. There will also be one-of-a-kind, steampunk inspired objects created by local retro designer Mark Counts in the Koth Memorial Gallery display case.

We need your help! Project READ, the adult literacy tutoring program at the Longview Public Library, has an immediate need for volunteer tutors. Training is provided. Tutors typically work two hours per week to help other adults in our community improve literacy skills.

Canner Lid Testing

Canning season is here as an abundance of food is being harvested. 

As you prepare for canning, do you know if your canner will seal the lids to the jars? 

You can have your canner lid tested to be sure that your food is correctly canned.  Lids can be tested,  Tuesdays 10:00 – 11:30 am (August 15 – September 19) for $4.00 at the WSU Extension office located at 1946 Third Avenue, Longview.  For questions, contact Lisa Huckleberry at 577-3014 Ext 0 or

The Longview Police Department will soon be auctioning unclaimed property through CTM Unlimited Auctions, LLC during a live auction in Oakville, Washington on August 20, 2017.

This is a day looking at giving not just monetarily, but from a larger spectrum (i.e. if you need board members, grant writers, shoes, office supplies, blood donations, books, volunteers, specific equipment etc. etc.).
