Get You and Your Bicycle Ready for Summer
The Longview Public Library, Peace Health Trauma Department, and Longview Parks and Recreation are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to get you and your bike ready for summer adventures! Everyone 12 years and older is invited to join us Saturday, June 9th from 1 to 3pm for safety training, bike inspections, proper helmet use education, and basic bike repair demonstrations.
The #MeToo movement has heavily influenced the platform for survivors. More survivors are sharing their stories and feeling empowered rather than isolated. This energy is introducing a new level of awareness. Being aware of how common sexual assault is helps us fight against it, but it can be discouraging to realize how often it really happens.
When we recognize just how prevalent sexual violence is, we are presented with the question,
“But what can I do about it?”
