Workforce Southwest Washington Launches Summer Employment Program to Connect Businesses to Young Adults
To help businesses tap into a potential source of talent – young adults – and to help youth learn about the world of work, Workforce Southwest Washington (WSW), the local workforce development board for Clark, Cowlitz and Wahkiakum counties, has launched SummerWorks, a summer employment program for young adults ages 16 to 21.
Do you know students graduating (or in College) that are 18+ and looking for a job before they head off to their newest adventure? Longview Parks and Rec has a great opportunity and it would be a great way to get some work experience! Please share this with anyone you may know that could benefit by seeing this! Why Graduation Matters Essay Contest
The Kelso Rotary Club will be holding their 31st annual “Quacker 5000” on September 14, 2019. We sell around 6,000 tickets throughout the community starting in early July at the Go Fourth Festival in Longview and continue at several venues (see the list below) throughout the community up until the last day of the Kelso Highlander Festival on September 10th. We are asking you to become a sponsor this year by making a donation to our foundation.

Forest Requests Expressions of Interest for Coldwater Visitor Center
The Gifford Pinchot National Forest is seeking a new vision for the Coldwater Visitor Center on the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument. Public and private entities are encouraged to share their ideas of how the building could be used and managed in the future, and what it would take to make those ideas a reality. Interested parties are encouraged to submit a Request for Expression of Interest by July 31, 2019.
