SCAM ALERT!

Beware of callers asking to collect on your bill

We want to alert you about a scam targeting customers of Cowlitz PUD and utilities nationwide, that we’re working with local authorities to investigate. It is a telephone scam in which thieves posing as PUD employees ask for a pre-paid credit card to collect a payment on your account.  Currently, most of the targets are Cowlitz County businesses.

Amtrak Cascades passengers are one step closer to more frequent and reliable rail service between Seattle and Portland. Engineers and scientists recently completed a study of a proposed bypass that will upgrade existing track and add a third main track between Kelso and the Longview Junction. This will separate freight and passenger rail traffic, allowing trains to move around each other and improve the reliability and on-time performance of Amtrak Cascades trains.

Longview, WA - The Port of Longview and Haven Energy are "finding common commercial ground" in Haven’s proposal to develop a propane/butane export terminal at the Port, Port of Longview Chief Executive Officer Geir-Eilif Kalhagen announced Tuesday during the regular Port Commission meeting.
