Starting today, March 25, RiverCities Transit will suspend fare requirements on buses through April to help protect transit employees and riders through social distancing in response to COVID-19. During this time you will not be required to pay a fare or show a bus pass.
In addition, RiverCities fixed route riders will board and exit through the rear door of the bus whenever possible. The front door will be used only by those riders who use mobility devices or need the assistance of the ADA ramp. The front areas of the bus will be limited to these riders to increase separation from operators.
Fixed route service reductions will begin Monday, March 30 as ridership has dropped significantly.
RCT will run the Saturday schedule Monday – Friday until further notice.
Paratransit service will continue to be available Monday – Saturday.
Those unable to access essential services and jobs as a result of these reductions are encouraged to contact RCT at 360- 442-5663 or email@example.com.
During the COVID-19 response, electronic resources such as Googlemaps, Where’s My Bus, and other applications and websites won’t have accurate information for all trips. Please see the RCT website for the reduced service schedule at www.rctransit.org.
RiverCities Transit is committed to providing service to our community members that need to access essential functions and lifeline services. We ask that our riders follow Governor Inslee’s Stay-at-Home Order for the next two weeks in an effort to keep all of our community members healthy.
