New Book-a-Librarian service at Longview Library
Do you want help downloading an e-book to your phone or tablet? Are you trying to do a
research project and you’re not sure where to start? Would you like special coaching on basic
computer and internet skills? Beginning November 1, you can schedule a personalized, 30- or
60-minute face-to-face session with a library professional at Longview Public Library to help
you with all of these and more.
Book-a-Librarian sessions can be scheduled when it is convenient for you! A library staff
member will schedule 30- or 60-minute sessions with patrons who want technical assistance on
topics such as starting an email account, browsing the library's catalog, downloading e-books and
audiobooks with Overdrive and Hoopla, searching the Internet, using electronic databases
through the Longview Library website, or other computer basics. Patrons can also ask for help
with other topics including personalized help with a research project or helping discover new
books and authors that match your taste and interests.
If you have questions about any of the topics listed above, go to the Book-a-Librarian web page
at http://longviewlibrary.org/book-librarian.php or call 360.442.5300 for more information or to
schedule your Book-a-Librarian appointment starting November 1.
