LCC needs Host Families for Short-Term Program

Greetings from Lower Columbia College (LCC) International Programs,

I just wanted to take this moment to reach out to the community with a wonderful opportunity to get involved with students from around the world.

From February 11th - March 3rd, LCC will be hosting around 12 female students from Atomi University in Japan.  These students will coming to enhance English skills, take courses, and visit the region. We are again looking for families who would be willing to host these Japanese students.  It’s a great short term option for those who are not able to commit longer term.

The students will be busy all day at LCC.  So you will just need to bring them to campus with you in the morning and bring them home at night.  The students will be happy to participate in your family activities in the evening or join us for some planned evening activities if you have time.

This is a great opportunity to learn about another culture, share a bit of your American life, and offer friendship to a visiting student.  Those who have participated in these programs have found them to be incredibly life changing experiences.

Please contact Marie Boisvert, mboisvert@lowercolumbia.edu or Julie Curley jcurley@lowercolumbia.edu in the International Programs office 360-442-2310, if you would like to learn more about becoming a host family.
