SELF-LOVE SUMMER: STILL ACCEPTING CLIENTS FOR SUPPORT GROUP

We are still accepting clients for our adult sexual assault support group! We will be accepting clients until July 25th – after that, the group will be closed for the remainder of the 12 weeks.

Clients will need to pre-register. The registration process is simple – either the client or someone on their behalf can contact the Emergency Support Shelter at 360-425-1176 and ask to sign up for the “Hope Project adult support group”

The main focus on this support group is empowerment – there is no pressure for a client to share their story, (we recommend one on one advocacy for that). Rather, this group is about understanding the reactions and emotions after the abuse/assault, identifying triggers, and learning healthy coping skills while understanding that survivors are not alone. Clients will engage in art therapy, learning and discussion and activities to help them cope with stress. Both our group and individual appointments are 100% free and confidential. The group is held at Evangel Church and is on Tuesdays from 4pm to 5:30pm. Childcare will be provided.

If you would like more information, contact our main office line or Stacey’s direct line at 360-353-5777 ext. 20. You can also email staceys@esshelter.com!
