Commissioner Bagaason Resigns from Port of Longview Board

Commission Vice-President Bob Baagason has submitted his formal resignation from the Port of Longview Board of Commissioners, effective September 30, 2018. Bagaason was elected to represent the 3rd Commission district in the 2007 general election – serving just shy of two full terms in office.

Longview administers a below-market rate, variable-term-loan program to assist new and
expanding industrial and commercial businesses. The Revolving Loan Fund is to create new
jobs, strengthen the City’s and region’s economy, encourage revitalization of downtown
Longview, and encourage development of the City’s Mint Farm Industrial Park and other
industrial areas.

Cowlitz County has lifted the water restrictions that were requested of Ryderwood residents. Adequate flow has returned to Campbell Creek and the weather forecast appears promising. Residents may now return to normal water usage.

Tuesday Night is Teen Night at the Library

Tuesday Night is Teen Night at the Library

Teen Tuesdays are back at the Longview Library! We kick off on September 18 with a
painting project making Faux Stained Glass to decorate your bedroom or home. Each Tuesday
features a different DIY project, game, or movie. Teens are invited to come to any or all of the
events, no need to register in advance or have a library card. Our teen events are open to all
middle and high schoolers, are free, and usually have snacks!
