The Great Washington Shakeout (https://www.shakeout.org/washington/) is an annual earthquake drill the provides individuals, families and businesses an opportunity to practice earthquake safety. Participation can vary from a simple “drop, cover, hold on” drill to a larger test of your preparedness and planning. The Myth of “Choice”
There’s an old saying that “prostitution is the oldest profession” and that everyone involved in sex work are doing so happily and willingly. While this may be true for a small percentage of privileged sex workers that find empowerment in their work, it does not apply for youth and adults who are being forced into the sex trade. Street Crimes Unit detectives arrest man with meth at Lake Sacajawea
Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 2, Longview Police Street Crimes Unit detectives arrested a man after
seeing him, another man and people walk into a Lake Sacajawea bathroom on the Nichols
Boulevard side near 16th Avenue. Thinking it was suspicious activity, the detectives knocked
on the door to contact the three inside the bathroom.
