SPRING SMALL BUSINESS WORKSHOPS BEGIN APRIL 29, 2020
Registration open now for three hands-on trainings to increase revenue, assist with cash management, and develop your business planning.
April 19, 2021, Longview, WA – The Cowlitz Economic Development Council (CEDC), in partnership with Lower Columbia College (LCC), and the Cowlitz Wahkiakum Council of Governments (CWCOG), is offering three (3) workshops for businesses to assist in their recovery and resiliency due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The CEDC has worked together with businesses of all shapes, sizes, and sectors to access much-needed resources in response to the current economic downturn. As we continue to work towards new opportunities, we have recognized that many of our local businesses need real, hands-on, quantifiable help in three major areas: marketing/advertising, cash management/accounting, and business planning. In response to these needs, we have partnered to develop three workshops that are taught by accredited instructors that individually address these areas. The course offerings are as follows:
Marketing & Advertising in Digital World, Thursday, April 29, 2021, 8:30 – 11:30 AM. This hands-on training will teach ways to increase your online presence and how to generate more revenue using Facebook, Instagram, Google Search, and more. Cash Management & Basic Accounting, Thursday, May 20, 2021, from 8:30 - 11:30 AM. Learn basic accounting and cash handling in this hands-on course. Topics include bookkeeping, payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and more. Register at: www.campusce.net/lcc/course/course.aspx?C=284
Simple Business Plan Development & Goal Setting, Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 8:30 – 11:30 AM. This participatory training will help you develop your business plan and set attainable goals. Each course is $25. Scholarships are available due to financial hardship. If you need a scholarship, please contact Lindsey Cope. Following the courses, the businesses will be followed up by the CEDC for further technical assistance if needed.
