Pickup of leaves from City owned trees runs October through January

From October through January, leaves from City of Longview maintained trees may be placed in
the street for pick up by the City’s Stormwater Division.

The City of Longview Parks Division to Remove Log Arches at Lake Sacajawea Next Week

The City of Longview Parks Division will be removing the log arches at Lake Sacajawea next
week. After years of being outside in Pacific Northwest weather and installed directly into the
ground without a moisture barrier, the wood structure has begun to decay and is beyond repair.
After inspection of the arches, removal is required.

The City of Longview would like to remind residents that the placement of detached structures
of any size or type is a regulated activity within city limits. Placement of this type of structure,
whether temporary or permanent, may require a permit from the Community Development
Department prior to placement.
