Kelso and Longview provide many opportunities for cultural enrichment. From theatres to public art there is something for everyone.

City councils, organisations (and private citizens) have commissioned many works of art which have added interest to the area. Some of these and their locations can be viewed opposite.

Of the theatres in the area the oldest is the Columbia Theatre, currently going through a reconstruction and planning it's next season. The theatres Executive Director recently received an Outstanding Business Award for his efforts and service to the theatre and for its impact on the community.

The most recent theatre is in the Rose Center for the Arts at the Lower Columbia College. Opened in June of 2008 it has a full programme of events. In addition to the theatre there is also an art gallery on 2 levels, and an Art Walk around the campus.

The Kelso Theatre Pub offers an excellent venue for catching a movie and enjoying good food, (their pizzas are legendary). A unique venue in the area and one of the most favoured attractions by the local population, an individual theatre with an old world charm!

The Koth Memorial Gallery was opened in 1993 in memory of Wesley L. Koth, citizen of the world, art connoisseur, and longtime patron of the Longview Public Library. The gallery has new exhibitions all the time and also has public readings on the arts. Current Exhibits.

Cowlitz County Historical Museum. Visit the log cabin built in 1884 which was inhabited by a Toutle River Valley Settler.  Also displayed are Native American artifacts, quilts, logging equipment and much much more.
